Covid-19 Policies

We are underway of preparing for camp and cannot wait for this summer to start. With that being said, the safety of each child has always been our top priority. And now our top priority remains the same. The requirements and protocols put forth by the State, CDC & American Camp Association are taken very seriously and will be strictly enforced here at PGH Summer Camp. We know that by following these guidelines we can still have a safe, fun and active summer.

Parents will be responsible for taking their child’s temperature each day before camp.

  • A temperature of 100.4 or higher is deemed unsafe to send to camp. Please contact us if you are not sending your child from camp due to illness.
  • All staff’s temperature will be taken each day and recorded prior to the start of camp.
  • Each staff member will have their own sanitation supplies with them to use throughout the day.

Campers ages 4-5 will be in groups of 6 campers to 1 counselor. Campers ages 6+ will be in groups of 8 campers and 1 counselor. Additional management staff will be walking around at all times to make sure new cleaning and sanitation protocol are followed.

We will follow all State & CDC Requirements and protocols for pool time.  We know that pool time is important to all of the kids at OAC and will be in their camp schedule as deemed safe!

Outdoor play is an important part of our daily camp schedule. Parents are asked to dress their children appropriately for the weather conditions. A light sweater or jacket may be needed in the mornings. During periods of extreme heat, the camp staff will scale down the physical camp activities.

Indoor facilities will be utilized if necessary due to inclement weather however campers will be outside for as much as possible!

As peer our policy, campers should only bring spray sunscreen.  Parents will apply the first layer of sunscreen at home before arrival to camp.  Counselors are only permitted to spray the sunscreen onto the campers.

PGH Summer Camp will follow all state and CDC requirements for wearing of masks by staff and campers.  Games and activities will all also follow all recommendations for the social distancing.
